January in Vienna? Yes, you should definitely visit Vienna in January! First of all, there are fewer tourists in the city and, thus, there are fewer crowds and, consequently, you will hardly have to plan in any waiting times at museums and other sights. Second, there areso many things to do in Vienna in January. Here are five recommendations from the VOX Design Team:

Enjoy ice skating or watch the famous ice skating show “Holiday on Ice”!
There are many possibilities to ice skate in Vienna. Probably the most popular one is the “Wiener Eistraum” in front of the city hall. It is not just a normal ice skating field, but additionally there are “ice streets” through the park.

If it’s too cold for you outside, the best idea is to spend a day at the thermal bath. The one in Vienna has been renovated only recently and now is an oasis for people looking for rest and relaxation. However, the thermal bath also offers a great children area.
